We are on the lookout for passionate individuals to form the heart of our advisory groups with a minimum of 3 individuals to form each Pacific business networking group - a unique opportunity to shape the future of our Pacific businesses.
Our Advisory Groups will be fully resourced and supported by The Pacific Business Hub.

Your Role in the Advisory Group:
- Provide insightful guidance to The Pacific Business Hub on networking events, business events and initiatives.
- Help curate experiences that celebrate our heritage.
- Be a beacon of support and advice for our members.
- Assist us in developing long-term strategies.
- Contribute to setting goals, identifying opportunities, and addressing potential challenges.
- Bring valuable connections and resources, such as industry contacts, potential partners, or access to funding opportunities to support the network.
- Advocate for and represent the interests of your business community, ensuring their needs and perspectives are considered in decision-making processes for the network.
- Facilitate engagement with your business community, the broader public, enhancing transparency and trust.

Expectations of Advisory Group Members
- Commitment: Members are expected to commit up to 2 hours a month to attending meetings, participating in discussions, and contributing to initiatives.
- Formulate Objectives: Responsible for formulating the objectives of the group based on the needs of the network and the requirements of The Pacific Business Hub.
- Expertise: Bring relevant expertise or experience to the table, providing valuable insights and guidance.
- Expertise Sharing: Members should contribute their knowledge, skills, and experience to achieve the group's objectives.
- Active Participation: Members are expected to actively participate in meetings, discussions, and decision-making processes.
- Goal-Oriented Approach: Focus on the goals and objectives of the group, ensuring that activities and discussions are aligned with these aims.
- Constructive Feedback: Provide constructive and honest feedback is a key expectation, as it contributes to the effectiveness of the group.
- Collaboration and Respect: Work effectively with other members in the group and with stakeholders. Members should collaborate with others in the group and respect diverse opinions and perspectives.
- Objective Advice: Provide unbiased, objective advice even when it might challenge the organisation’s status quo.
- Confidentiality: Maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive information discussed within the group.
- Adherence to Policies and Guidelines: Members should adhere to any established policies, guidelines, or ethical standards of the The Pacific Business Hub.
- Responsiveness: Being responsive to communication and requests from the group and The Pacific Business Hub.
- Advocacy and Representation: Advocate for and represent the interests of your business community, ensuring their needs and perspectives are considered in decision-making processes for the network.
Compensation
- Seating Fees: You will be paid for your time to attend the meetings at $50 an hour.
- Access to Resources: Access to exclusive information, resources, and/or professional networks of The Pacific Business Hub.
- Support: You will be fully supported by The Pacific Business Hub.
- Implementing Initiatives: Initiatives put forward by the group which are considered and approved by The Pacific Business Hub will be resourced and funded by The Pacific Business Hub.
- Networking Opportunities: Opportunities to network with other networking groups and members of The Pacific Business Hub HUB Connect initiative.
